Kumakaru doesn’t ask anything of you. Designed around privacy and comfort, it feels less like a hotel stay and more like inhabiting a personal retreat by the sea. Long mornings overlooking the ocean, local cuisine prepared for a close group, conversations by the infinity pool. The coastline always present.
The visual approach focused on translating that stillness through light, human connection, and the quiet relationship between architecture and landscape. Not luxury in an obvious way. Something rooted in silence, space, and complete disconnection from routine.
